A sustainable product,
Not only is recycled cashmere fibre a sustainable product, but also the place of its production has been built according to sustainability principles.
In 2021 company Gori Alberto moved its heardquarters in Montemurlo, in the province of Prato, designed by architect Giuseppe Passaro.
Green solutions have been adopted taking into consideration water and energy saving, as well as interior design choices.
In the realization of the Gori project, I imagined a building with a strong personality: wood, concrete and iron, pure and evergreen materials, for a minimal and environmentally sustainable design.

The design idea
Rainwater recovery
Our 6 rainwater harvesting tanks are sufficient for the whole production process and the fire prevention system.
Solar panels and green charging
The entire building surface is covered with solar panels, i.e. 3,000 sq.m. The energy generated is used to fuel the production machinery and the pillars installed near the structure for charging electric cars.
THE DESIGN OF SPACES
Minimalism and recycling
Large areas, and net lines intersecting the light beams coming from the porthole windows. A matter of style: design meets sustainability and every style choice is studied to offer beauty and a sound management of energy resources to space. The furniture has partly been recycled, too.
